I now have three parallel git branches for three different sets of changes I’m working on. I think I’ll be able to easily roll them into the master branch as each is ready to be rolled out. So far, almost everything makes sense, and between the command line and git-gui, it’s been easier than I expected. (git-gui runs in a Windows-native Tk on Windows, but in horrifyingly ugly X Tk on a Mac. But MacPorts has a current version of git, unlike the months-old version in cygwin, so I’ll call it a tie.)
